Mobius is Now MENTOR Vermont

October 27, 2018 MENTOR Vermont, MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, Mobius, News

Dear Vermont youth mentoring friends and partners,

We’re excited to inform you that Mobius has rebranded to MENTOR Vermont. While our name and logo have changed, our mission remains the same. We continue to focus on providing resources and support to youth mentoring programs in Vermont so they can meet the needs of young people in their communities.

Over the past year, we’ve worked with our Public Awareness Committee to conduct a branding awareness study, and have met with mentoring program staff and other stakeholders throughout the state. Based on the overwhelmingly favorable feedback, we determined that rebranding to MENTOR Vermont and better aligning with MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership was a great opportunity for our organization and the mentoring field in Vermont.

This change to align our organization with MENTOR’s brand, both in name and logo, enables us to better utilize their national recruitment campaigns and partners (such as the NBA, LinkedIn, Starbucks etc.), which will help increase awareness of the need for mentoring in Vermont.

We remain an independent non-profit, as we always have been, but rebranding to MENTOR Vermont enables us to clarify our role and the work we do, raise awareness throughout the state, and provide new opportunities and resources to help ensure more youth in Vermont can receive the benefits of having a caring, consistent adult mentor.

As MENTOR Vermont, we will further strengthen our long-standing relationship with MENTOR, the lead champion for youth mentoring in the United States. Since Mobius’ establishment in 2003, we have been a member of MENTOR’s affiliate network, serving a unique role as a clearinghouse for training, resources, public awareness and advocacy. We provide the critical link between MENTOR’s national efforts and local organizations and programs that foster and support quality mentoring relationships.

With your ongoing support, we will continue to work towards our vision of every young person in Vermont having the supportive mentoring relationships they need to grow and develop into thriving, productive, and engaged adults.

Sincerely,

Chad Butt
Executive Director, MENTOR Vermont
