DREAM is a youth-based Village Mentoring organization operating in many different parts of the state. Its mission is to build communities of families and college students that empower children from affordable housing neighborhoods to recognize their options, make informed decisions and achieve their dreams. DREAM offers college students who attend Bennington College, Champlain College, Dartmouth College, Green Mountain College, Middlebury College, St. Michael’s College and the University of Vermont the opportunity to become mentors in the state of Vermont. Each of these students becomes a part of our mentoring group and is paired with a youth from a local affordable housing community. DREAM’s mentors form one-on-one mentoring relationships with the children through a combination of group activities, trips, events and a weekly program on campus. DREAM also provides an on-site summer program and operates a summer residential camp.
