More about the 2020 Mentoring Celebration:
This annual event, convened by MENTOR Vermont and our Program Leadership Council, brought together nearly 200 youth mentees, mentors, legislators, and supporters to officially mark January as Mentoring Month in Vermont, and recognize the 2,300 mentor and mentee matches from across the state. The Celebration featured a Mentoring Month proclamation by the Governor, a Mentoring Month resolution by the House and Senate, recognition of the 2020 Ambassadors of Mentoring by Comcast, free statehouse tours and lunch for youth mentees and their mentors, and much more!
The schedule for this year’s event was:
9:15 am – 9:45 am: Register and gather at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, in the Governors Ballroom
9:45 am – 11:30 am:
Mentor Match Activities (for youth of all ages)
Signing of Governor’s Mentoring Month Proclamation and Remarks by Governor Phil Scott

Presentation of the Ambassadors of Mentoring Awards by Comcast
11:30 am – 12:30 pm:
Lunch (legislators are invited to attend and meet mentor matches)
